Happy Anniversary

October 08th was our 2nd anniversary. For those of you who don't know I have a wonderful husband, Korey, who supports me in all I do. He loves me even though the last year I have spent almost every evening in front of my computer working on pictures and then waking up every morning to get ready to go to my "real" job. He has been wonderful and one of the main reasons I'm able to follow my photography dreams. I love him more than anyone will ever know.

This year for our anniversary we went to Arkansas for Bikes, Blues and BBQ and we had a BLAST. Korey surprised me with a brand new Harley Davidson Street Glide. Now I think it is funny that "we" got a motorcycle for our anniversary, but for those of you who really know Korey you know that "we" got it so I would be more comfortable than I am on that chopper because he wants me to be a part of his bike trips and that is what makes this motorcycle so very special just like my husband. Here is to many many more years of happiness (and a few less surprises)

Grandpa Liggett

I lost my Grandpa Liggett last week and it was a very sad time for my family. My twin sister and I used to stay weekends with my grandparents when were little girls. My Grandpa would take us to the grocery store and let us pick out whatever cereal we wanted and all kinds of junk food. He also used to try and teach us how to swing a golf club, baseball bat and he took us to the zoo and to feed the ducks. I have several good memories of my grandpa when I was a little girl and I'm blessed to have known my grandfather.

The picture below is very special to me because it is from my wedding day. My grandparents surprised me by showing up. My grandfather was very ill at the time and they didn't know if he would be able to travel, but they made it and it made my day even more special. Grandpa, thanks for the memories you will be missed and we all love you very much.

Guess Who is Having a Baby

So I have been trying to post this entry for about 2 weeks and now I don't think it is a surprise to anyone anymore, but I'm going to pretend like it is.

Guess who is having a baby????

Yep....One of my very best friends, Candice and Shawn

This day was the first time they heard Baby Bryant's heartbeat and mom is 12 weeks along.

Candice is from Illinois and that is where her family lives, so I'm going to track her pregnancy so they can see her often. I'm already a little behind since she is already 17 weeks, but just wait I will get back on track. Stay tuned for the 17 week pictures.

Special Olympics Ride

A few weeks ago I went on a ride to benefit Special Olympics and we had a blast. Here are some of my favorite pictures from that day.

The crew

This dog also went on the ride with us. She was super cute.

My favorite from the day. I call it self portrait.......

Summer Picnic

I haven't had a lot of family time lately, so I thought it would be fun to post a few pictures from a picnic that some of my family attened this summer.

This is Chandler, Wendi, Lily and Kirk

This is Angie, Jason and Sophia

Enjoy these last few days of summer weather with your family.

Wyatt Duke Denney

Last week I had the opportunity to photograph Wyatt and his sister Chole. What a beautiful family. This was another shoot I did at their house and I think they liked it. It is much more relaxing for the kids and parents.

I LOVE this picture of Chloe with her brother. It looks like she is about to take a bite.

I love this picture because it looks like little Wyatt is trying to make a statement...I'm not sure what, but it just makes me smile.

I think Ms. Chloe had the most fun! She is a great little one and I just love capturing her. She is quite the climber so I usually have to be pretty fast.

Trash the Dress

In case you haven't heard the new wedding trend is called "Trash the Dress" and it is a BLAST. I had my first trash the dress shoot on Sunday and the weather was perfect...hot, humid, very windy....you know all those things you pray DON'T happen on your wedding day. Well this shoot is all about having fun in your wedding dress and getting some AWESOME pictures.

Dawn is my first trash the dress bride and was I ever so lucky with a beautiful model. At first she was a little shy, but by the end she was helping pick out the spots and having a blast. My plan was to pick out a few (4 or 5) of my favorites, but I couldn't narrow it down. I know there is a lot and I might change it to a slideshow later, but for now here they are.

Special thanks to Dawn for being so easy to photograph and Cheryl for being our wonderful assistant.

We started out at this old fire truck that I drive by every day on my way to work and think of all the things I could shoot in front of it. FINALLY..........

Then we found a little park bench downtown.

One of my favorite shots

This is about the time Dawn started to loosen up

Dawn spotted the road closed sign

Then we decided to change it up a bit and go for the girl in the dress being a little trashy. Thanks to the Cashew for letting us use their bar

We stopped by a fountain for some fun...Dawn never actually went through the fountain because she was saving up for the grand finale

Dawn spotted this little pond and swing while we were driving. She was running to the swing like a child...so excited

Then off to our grand finale. I'm saving most of these pictures for the slideshow so jut a little teaser for you. Thanks to Brian and Toni for use of the pool

Okay so this is the longest blog ever, but doesn't it look like fun?? We can take it as far as you want to take it. Maybe a little dirt or submerged in water, it is all up to you. If you are ready to get that dress out of the closet give me a call.
